Achievement Week

  • Our Annual Observance of National Achievement Week began in the 1920s under the leadership of Brother-Dr. Carter G. Woodson, during a period when racism dominated social thinking, served as a real and substantial purpose in the inspiration of a socially depressed minority. Currently, the positive gains that we as a people have made provide us with a real platform to showcase our fraternity’s support to the many communities in which we live.

During the various Achievement Week Banquets and celebrations it is the goal to honor public service within and outside of the fraternity, as we recognize those individuals who have distinguished themselves through service in the local and national community, as an outstanding Citizen of the Year, Omega Man of the Year, and in various other areas of achievement.
